Due to the World Championship 2022 in Qatar (21 November to 18 December), German professional football will go into a round-month winter break in the coming season.
This is evident from the freinkal event, which was adopted on Friday from the Bureau of the German Football Federation (DFB).
The last matchday of the year of the first league (15th matchday) and the 2nd Bundesliga (17th matchday) will be held from 11th to 13th November. The World Association for the national player has terminated the World Association FIFA on November 14, 2022.
Following the World Cup and a pause, the ball rolls in the Bundesliga again from January 20, 2023, the 2nd Bundesliga starts a week later.
Season 2022/23 starts on the 5th of August
The starting signal for the new season in the highest German gaming class falls on 5 August 2022. Already three weeks earlier (15 July) the playing time begins in the 2nd Bundesliga. The season finale in the Bundesliga rises on May 27, 2023. One day later, the last matchday of the second division season will take place.
In addition, the dates for the DFB Cup were set. The first round will be held from 29 July to 1 August, the final will take place on 3 June 2023 in the Berlin Olympic Stadium. For this purpose, the Supercup is played on July 30th.
