The Bureau of the German Football Confederation has adopted a comprehensive package of measures to strengthen the economic stability of the 3rd league and confirms the single-track structure.
From the 2023/24 season, the specifications for the equity edition are significantly tightened and the then modified financial fair play is integrated as a mission to the approval procedure.
If a club has negative equity in the future, it must improve this annually by five percent. For desks from the 2nd Bundesliga, equity may not be worsened. Clubs with positive equity must receive this. In case of a violation of these conditions, depending on the height, a point deduction of up to three counters can be imposed, the DFB communicated. So far, this was possible at the earliest in the third year and only a fine prescribed.
Other changes already reach for the coming season. Thus, the minimum capacity of stadiums is reduced from so far 10,000 to 5000 places. Above all, this should allow for smaller locations or with a lower fan potential to allow more sustainable use in a descent into the regional league.
With these measures a further professionalization in the infrastructural and technical-organizational field. These include increased requirements for floodlights and the guidelines for a lawn heating. Furthermore, the 20 third divisions are required from the season 2022/23 to carry out an open and official FandialoLog at least three times a season and to name a full-time full-time fan officer.
