One of the best aspects of the most recent version of the series is to see Ash gather all the experience of all the regions for which he has already traveled in the past and use them to strengthen themselves. He is actively obtaining the best advantages of each of those regions with the only impulse to become the best in the world, and has a great opportunity if he ends up using everything he has in his arsenal.
