Pro Evolution Soccer was a popular series in football simulation and often stood at the feet of its competitor, FIFA, because it sometimes offered a more realistic and authentic approach to sport simulation. Earlier this year, Konami has announced major changes to the franchise, namely that the game would become free with available packages and that it would be renamed Efootball. The change has been a surprise for many.
Efootball was launched for the first time on September 30, 2021 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, PC and mobile devices with cross-reading and cross-backup capabilities. Since then, Konami and Efootball have not been able to make a lot of progress and has announced a new delay for version 1.0.0.
Although the idea of the efootball sounded well, in practice, many saw the efootball like a flop because it was buggy and just not fun. Konami has promised to make the necessary changes and propose a respectable game after its initial launch, but today the company has announced another setback. Via a statement on his official twitter efootball, he was declared: We wish to inform our players that the update of version 1.0.0 scheduled for November 11 was postponed in the spring of 2022. In addition, we announce the Cancellation and automatic repayments of Pre-orders EFOOTBALL 2022 Premium Player Pack, which included items that could only be used in the game after updating version 1.0.0.
The statement ended by declaring, We work as hard as possible to offer an experience that our players expect and deserve by the spring 2022. We apologize for the inconvenience and we thank you for your continued patience.
Fans can always play the efootball for free today, but the bad launch has left many people very disappointed.
